PSU and SOU Build Climate Coalition Around Research and Teaching

Portland State and Southern Oregon University have launched a new collaboration focused on water, fire, and climate. Following a joint workshop held in March in Ashland, the coalition aims to strengthen statewide climate efforts through shared research, quarterly webinars, and new pathways for students to pursue graduate degrees.

Dale Gaubatz Named Vice Provost for Enrollment and Student Engagement

Portland State has appointed Dale Gaubatz to a new leadership role overseeing both enrollment and student affairs. Joining PSU from the University at Albany, SUNY, Gaubatz brings 25 years of experience connecting recruitment, financial aid and student support to improve student success from first contact through graduation.

Portland State University is hosting the Portland Fire’s inaugural WNBA training camp at the Viking Pavilion. As the team's official higher education partner, PSU is providing primary practice facilities for the city’s newest professional franchise. This collaboration strengthens the Rose City's status as a hub for women's sports.
